AT&T Data Breach Issue Faced by iPhone and Other Users

If you are using AT&T iPhone 6 / 6 Plus / 5S / 5c / 5 or any other model of Apple smartphone or other brand device, you should learn about AT&T data breach. The carrier send warnings to its subscribers saying that one of its employees might have illegally accessed their personal information.

Right now it is not specified how many people were affected by the recent AT&T security breach. The company only warned users about the problem caused by its insider. The employee who got access to users’ Social Security number and driver’s license along with other personal details, according to AT&T, no longer works for the mobile operator. Still you should be aware of this fact.

In case you suffered from this AT&T privacy breach, the carrier offers you one free year of its credit monitoring year.

The company already apologized for this issue. It sent a letter to the Vermont attorney general where the operator stated that the employee has no longer access to subscriber’s personal data. According to the U.S. carrier, one of its employees violated its inner guidelines and accesses subscriber’s information. This happened in August 2014.

To avoid any problems right now all AT&T customers are highly advised to change their passwords and even usernames.
