Vodafone to Bring VoLTE and WiFi Calling to iPhone 6 in the UK

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus who wish to see Vodafone VoLTE UK service launched should wait till summer. The carrier has big plans to roll out its Voice over 4G option along with WiFi Calling a couple of months from now.

The United Kingdom mobile operator is going to invest £1 billion [about $1.49 billion] into its network development, and this should bring new technologies to customers and subscribers from across the country. The presentation of the two new services that include Vodafone WiFi Calling iPhone 6 feature and VoLTE calls should bring automatic voice signal to users who are using existing WiFi services.

The new program will help those users whose areas don’t provide a good network coverage. Due to limited or hard-to-get-indoor-signal coverage, carrier’s clients have to make calls through 2G and 3G network.

As the company notes, its WiFi calling option that will be present in the summer will make sure that the carrier’s consumers ‘never miss a call’ and this step should also help Vodafone UK to build the strongest network in the country.

Different local companies are fighting for iPhone 6 users. Thus, Vodafone offers 25GB of free Dropbox storage for one year to its new customers. EE is planning to roll out WiFi Calling service for some smartphone models this spring. Other carriers will also offer some new deals.
