Waterproof HTC Grip Wearable to Support iOS 8.2 / 8.3

HTC Grip is a new wearable that should be released sometime in the spring along the next Apple Watch device which is expected to be launched in April 2015. Both gadgets are to support iOS 8 platform. It is interesting to see iOS wearable that is developed by HTC company and not Apple, so the news is must-mention.

HTC wearable iOS device might support cross-platforms even though all earlier efforts of this firm were related to Android firmware. This device should come with a 1.8-inch curved screen [pmoled display] that is capable of tracking running, cycling and other activities. According to reports, this wearable will be waterproof just like Apple’s Watch. It should also sync data through Under Armor’s Record system used to recommend users their workout schedule and exercising.

As HTC notes, its Grip can be submerged in up to 1 meter of water. It can stay under water for up to half an hour. Apple didn’t say how long its Watch can be submerged in water but, as CEO Tim Cook has said this wearable can take a shower.

HTC Grip with iOS support features a 100mAh battery that can last for over two days or up to five hours with the GPS on.

It is predicted that the Grip can cost around $200.
