Apple iPhone Sales in China 2015 Higher than in the U.S.

The Cupertino-based giant did a lot to enter and expand in this Asia market. It has big plans here. iPhone sales in China 2015 are a big goal for Apple. The market reacts to iOS products and is eager to purchase more and more smartphones, tablets and soon Apple Watch. A lot of experts believed that the Chinese market would overtake U.S. in terms of ‘fruit’ device sales and it has already happened.

Apple China vs USA Sales [iPhone]

The first quarter of 2015 was highly incredible for Apple. The second quarter shows lower numbers compared to Q1 but the revenue and net profit are still high compared to Q2 2014. What curious about this figures is that the iOS giant sold more smartphones in China than it did in its home country.

The company managed to sell 40 percent more handsets in Q2 2015 than it did in the same period of 2014. Apple got $58 billion in revenue in the second quarter and nearly $17 billion of it was obtained from China where the revenues were increased by over 70 percent.

It is impressive how easily and quickly Apple conquered the market of smartphones in China that is rich with various copies, rip-offs and fake devices. Local customers still wish to buy the original devices and Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are now extremely popular here, even more popular than in the U.S.

Apple is opening retail stores across China and this has surely helped to boost iPhone sales. The Chinese New Year also played a big role in raising sales of the iDevices just like Christmas did in the U.S. to boost sales in Q1.

The iOS company is going to open about 40 more stores in China by the end of 2016. But right now the giant is focused on its new wearable product that went on sale in the United States and some other countries.
