Mac OS X 10.11 EL Capitan Review Compared to 10.10.4 Yosemite

Apple has presented its next Mac OS X 10.11 name – El Capitan. How different is this update from 10.10.3 and 10.10.4 Yosemite versions? Hopefully this OS X El Capitan review will give you an idea what the main changes are and share first impressions of developers and public beta testers who had a chance to work with the new beta build.

The Cupertino company is expected to officially launch its new desktop software sometime in 2015. At the same time it should upgrade the Yosemite version. So do the two systems have much in common?

OS X El Capitan Reviews

According to developers’ impressions, the new OS X is a refined version of Yosemite. It comes with a big number of different improvements and enhancements [for example, Force Touch option] that users will find interesting and worth having.

Firstly, El Capitan has similar design to Yosemite. Secondly, it improves the operating system. Thirdly, it does look like Yosemite but it has its own upgrade features that sound reassuring.

Apple introduces some tweaks to Mission Control by re-coding Yosemite and brings better graphics technology to users because El Capitan enhances graphics-processing and animation which should make gameplay more effective.

Devs note that the new beta is fast and has the smallest amount of problems.

El Capitan should be more stable than Yosemite while offering iOS integration as well.

A year ago Mac users had to get used to the new Yosemite design since Apple added some major changes to the platform. This year’s El Capitan will not shock ‘fruit’ fans because it only improves everything and doesn’t change main features. The company introduced San Francisco font in this upgrade.

Since there is only one beta of El Capitan it’s hard to say what other changes Apple could add to this system in the future.
