Download WatchOS 2 Beta 3 Is Available For Developers

If you are signed as a developer you can download watchOS 2 beta 3on your wearable device as Apple company on Wednesday had launched the third beta update for watchOS 2 for developers.

The company released the second beta of the Watch operating system two weeks ago which was seeded after the first beta for watchOS 2 that was introduced minutes after last month’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2015 keynote talk had wrapped up.

The third beta carries the build number 13S5293f. This latest watchOS software update must be applied via the Apple Watch companion app on an iPhone with iOS 9 beta by navigating to the General -> Software Update section.

Unveiled at WWDC 2015 last month, watchOS 2 gains the support for native apps which execute directly on the Apple Watch hardware, as opposed to being streamed off its connected iPhone which results in lagginess and performance issues.

Native apps are permitted to directly poll the device’s sensors including the heart rate monitor, the microphone and the accelerometer, as well as take advantage of hardware features like the Digital Crown, the Taptic Engine and more.

Features of watchOS 2 include a new Nightstand Mode, three new watch faces, a new Time Travel mode, and more.

The persons who have already installed this update reported about some problems that they faced with. Some of the complaints surrounding the beta so far include poor battery life, GPS issues, and haptic feedback bugs.

Nightstand mode, seen at the top, automatically renders a fancy alarm clock and the current time in landscape as soon as you lay your device on its side for overnight charging.

It is expected that Apple will release watchOS 2 for public consumption this fall. So before that launch if you are developer you can download watchOS 2 beta 3 and try out it!
