Apple iCloud Restore Files New Feature

We have some good news about new Apple iCloud restore files feature that was added by Apple to iCloud.com last week. This useful feature allows you to restore deleted files, contacts, calendars, and reminders. This new restore files option is really handy in case any of your data gets erased by you whether it was done accidental or intentional.

This function gets your erased iCloud files for 30 days, together with contacts, calendars, and reminders at different intervals. This makes it an easy back up plan in case something goes wrong.

How To restore Files From Apple's iCloud 

These recovery tools are only available via iCloud.com. Note, that they are not present in the Settings app on iOS 8 or within the dedicated iCloud Drive app that's available in iOS 9.

 Step 1. Visit iCloud.com in a web browser, it can be Safari or Chrome.

Step 2. Then enter your Apple ID and password.

Step 3. In case you have two-factor authentication turned on, you'll need a trusted device to generate a code to log into iCloud and access the settings.

Step 4. Click on the "Settings" app in the main menu.

Step 5. Now down to the bottom of the page until you see to the "Advanced" section."

Step 6. Simply select the file you want to restore and click Restore File. The file will be immediately added back into iCloud Drive, ready to be worked on again. You can select a single file to restore or multiple files.

How To Restore Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders From iCloud

The procedure to restore data from the Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders apps is the same. These tabs load various backups of their respective data and allow you easily to restore data across all your devices for the chosen backup date.

So we can say that this iCloud files feature is really one that helps many users in situation when they accidently deleted some need data.
