Viber 5.5 iOS App Update Gaines Many New Features

Here is fresh news about Viber 5.5 iOS app update. This popular as Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp messaging platform has gained several new features to its iPhone and iPad application in the App Store.

This fresh Viber 5.5 update for iOS now allows users to invite an entire group to follow a public chat. The update also introduces animated stickers, has the ability to exchange contact information using messages and some other notable improvements.

Viber brings out cool new feature: the app automatically turns URLs you paste in the chat window into cool bubbles with the preview of the link content.

Also from now when user want to send contacts to other chat participants, user can do so right in the message view in both one-to-one and group conversations.

Another usable feature is that in case you want to start a free video call with someone, all you need to do is to click the phone icon on their profile page or directly on the recent calls screen.

The recent update for Viber Desktop brought support for Viber Public Chats and a few other changes. What is interest, Viber now includes animated stickers comprised of both its own characters and branded ones, like the packs from Disney’s “Inside Out.”

On iPads, Viber has removed a significant hurdle preventing seamless sync as the app now finally syncs data simultaneously across its iPhone, iPad and Mac editions.

The 84-megabyte app requires an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad with iOS 7.0 or later. As it was already mentioned, Viber 5.5 iOS app update features native display support for iPads and is optimized for the iPhone 5/5s/5c, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus screen sizes. Unfortunately, it continues to lack a WatchKit component. But there is a way out.

You can choose to have Viber notifications delivered to your wearable device. All you need to do is to enable Viber in the Notifications section of the companion Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
