iPhone 6s Battery Capacity Specs Description

Despite having a smaller iPhone 6s battery capacity specs, the new smartphones achieve the same battery life as their predecessors, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Like always, Apple company did not do any iPhone 6s and iPhone 6 s Plus battery life reviews when it unveiled them three days ago at its media event 2015. But the company gave its fans a quick glimpse at the iPhone 6s battery capacity while introducing the new 3D Touch feature via a video.

The video confirms that the iPhone 6s comes with a 1715mAh battery, which is what reports and rumors had previously indicated. This is nearly a 100mAh decrease in capacity when compared to the 1810mAh battery found inside the iPhone 6.

Even though the battery capacity is quite reduced, but due to the new A9 chip that utilizes less power from device battery, iPhone 6s gives same 10 hours of 3G / 4G data use, 14 hours talk time on 3G and 11 hours of video playback, which is exactly same specs as the iPhone 6.

Talking about iPhone 6s Plus battery specification, its capacity is not confirmed as yet, but if rumors are to be believed, the battery capacity has been reduced from 2910mAh in iPhone 6 Plus to 2750mAh in iPhone 6s Plus, but again iPhone 6s Plus will give same battery time as iPhone 6 Plus.

There can be a lot of notable reasons why the new Apple's smartphones are equipped with a smaller battery than their predecessor, including the presence of the Taptic Engine and the 3D Touch chip taking up significant part of the platform inside them. Paying not so many attention on reasons, the one thing we can confirm that the reduced iPhone 6s battery capacity specs does not make a difference in the battery life of the current iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus devices.
