Sprint Enables Advanced WiFi Calling Feature For 9.1 iPhone

Here is all news about Sprint WiFi Calling for iOS 9.1 iPhone users. Alongside the iOS 9.1update release, Sprint has also set an advanced Wi-Fi calling feature for its customers. It means that Sprint users in the US will have an ability to take advantage of this great feature that offers Wi-Fi-assisted voice calling for poor coverage places. Apple officially launched iOS 9.1firmware version to iDevices owners earlier this month. The update brought over 150 new emoji and included improvements to its Live Photos feature, refreshed wallpapers and the usual fixes some bugs.

In its official press release Sprint outlined all the advantages of using Wi-Fi Calling. They states that iDevice owners will now be able to answer calls from their iPhone on a Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, or an iPod touch. They also adds that the particular feature gets enhanced with the advanced Wi-Fi Calling feature, as now you actually don't need to enable your iPhone to receive the call on a Mac or iPad, but devices must be signed in with the same Apple ID that’s present on their iPhone.

How Sprint users can access the new advanced Wi-Fi calling feature. First thing you need to do is to download iOS 9.1firmware, watchOS 2, or OS X 10.11.1 on your iDevices and also make sure that Wi-Fi calling is enabled on your iPhone. To do it navigate to Settings > Phone > Wi-Fi Calling. Other iDevices can be set up to receive calls by navigating to Settings > FaceTime > Calls from iPhone. Note that as it was mentioned above all devices must use the same Apple ID and they must be signed into iCloud.

These advanced Wi-Fi calling features are also available to T-Mobile users in the US. While AT&T has implemented support for Wi-Fi calling, it does not extend to the advanced Wi-Fi calling feature available to Sprint and T-Mobile users. So it means that now Apple users can enjoy advanced Sprint WiFi Calling on iOS 9.1 iPhone in full.
