It is vital to note here that to take and post a Live Photo you’ll need to have an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus. And to view a Live Photo you’ll need to be running the latest version of iOS 9. You don’t need a 6s or 6s Plus to view the Live Photo, or access to 3D Touch for that matter. As long as you’re running iOS 9, you simply long-press on a Live Photo and you’ll see (and hear!) what the original photographer was trying to capture.

Step 1: Open the Facebook app on your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus.

Step 2: Click the Camera button that is placed next to “What’s on your mind?”.

Step 3: Next click on Photo/Video option.

Step 4: Now from the Camera Roll, simply choose the Live Photo(s) of your choice and to proceed push the Done button.

Step 5: Now, ensure you click on the LIVE label located on the bottom of the photo if you want the Live Photo to be posted to Facebook as such.

Step 6: Now if you would like you can add a description, and then hit the Post button to upload your first Live Photo on Facebook page.


How To View Live Photos on Facebook On iOS 9 iPhone


Live Photos on Facebook are viewable on any iOS device with iOS 9.0 or later, including the iPhone 4s. Find the picture on Facebook with the Live Photos icon on them. Once you found one, next step you need to do depends on the iDevice you have:

  • If you’re using new either iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus then 3D Touch on the picture to view the Live Photo.
  • If you’re using any other iOS 9 device, then you need to click and hold on the picture to view the Live Photo.

Also if you don't like Live Photos feature there is a way to convert them into sill pictures. Remember that you can view Live Photos in Facebook app on the iOS 9 or later devices.
