How To Unlock ATT iPhone SE, 6s,6s Plus, 6,6 Plus, 5s, 5c, 5, 4s

If you want to unlock ATT iPhone 6s or any other iPhone model then you should read this post. Unlike Verizon that unlocks all its 4G devices, ATT company still locks its iPhones to its network. It means that you cannot take your AT&T iPhone, put a T-Mobile SIM and expect it will work. To use your ATT iPhone SE with new carrier domestically or overseas, you have to meet the minimum criteria and go through AT&T’s official channels to unlock the device or use online service to quickly make it possible to use your iDevice with other network.

If are not sure whether your phone is eligible to be unlocked or not you can check it using online service or via AT&T’s website. The ATT carrier will remove this restriction on your iPhone if requested, but there are several requirements you must meet before the carrier will approve your request. Once your iPhone meets the minimum criteria, AT&T will send you a notification with information about how to unlock your phone. Instead using online service your iDevice will be unlocked quickly and easy, even if your iPhone 5s is under the ATT contract.

Unlike Sprint which takes some of the burden off the consumer by removing this restriction when a customer is eligible, AT&T will not unlock your iPhone automatically. If your request is approved, AT&T will email an approval email. AT&T may reject your request or require you to send in additional information.

As a result with online service you can unlock ATT iPhone 6s,6s Plus, 6,6 Plus, 5s, 5c, 5, 4s and even the recently released iPhone SE in 1-5 business days for the lowest price. To make an order all you need to do is to provide your phone's IMEI number, your name and email address then pick the right package due to your iPhone model. When the unlock order will be completed you will receive a mail with instructions to finish the unlock. Once your device will be unlocked you can use your iPhone with US or international carrier.

The original carrier should be able to unlock it. But usually you have to meet certain guidelines and it takes approximately 1-3 weeks. They're not too quick about it (surprise, surprise). I went through the same hassle. Ended up just using a 3rd party online service that does it within a few days. I believe the site was You can probably ask them about it first to make sure they can do it.
