How To View Recent Safari History on iOS 9 iPhone

In this post we will show you how to quickly view recent Safari history on iOS 9.3.1 iPhone. As every iDevice you browse the web a lot during the day. You may check up the news, do research on some information or skim through your favorites to learn what’s the latest. But sometimes you may need to check the info you have just opened in Safari. In such cases searching a specific item in browsing history can be real challenge, especially if you’re on the go.

Of course you can just click on Safari’s back button multiple times or swipe to go back a single webpage at a time until you'll find the webpage you were looking for, but that’s a time-consuming process which unnecessarily wastes your iPhone’s cellular data. Fortunately Safari for iOS provides a very handy, though not immediately obvious shortcut which lets you quickly jump to any previously visited webpage.

How To View Recent Safari History In iOS 9.3

Step 1) Open up Safari on your iOS 9.3.1 device.

Step 2) Press and hold the back arrow button on the far left hand side of the bottom tool bar. You will see a menu with the history list of webpages you viewed recently.

Step 3) From here, you can tap on a link to open it.

Important note: This only works for open tabs that originate on your device. If you use iCloud, you may be able to see pages that are open on another iOS device or Mac. Opening an iPad window from your iPhone, for example, does not allow you to view the history of that iPad browsing session.

This feature to view recent Safari history on iOS 9.3.1 iPhone can be really useful in your everyday iDevice usage.
