How To View Song Lyrics In The Music App On iOS 10 iPhone

With the release of the latest software update Apple made it possible to view song lyrics in the Music app on iOS 10 iPhone. In the earlier iOS versions the only way you could see lyrics from your Music app on your device was to manually add the lyrics with iTunes.

There are two separate ways to view the lyrics of a song from the app depending on your needs. Follow the guides below to learn how to do it.

How To Read Song Lyrics In The Music App In iOS 10

Method first: within the Now Playing interface

The first method displays the lyrics right inside of the Now Playing interface so you can still perform other actions in the app while the lyrics are shown. Follow steps below to do this:

1) Launch the Music app and begin playing any song from Apple Music.

2) Click on the Now Playing bar at the bottom of the app.

3) Once you’re in the Now Playing music interface, scroll down slightly and then click on the Show button.

4) Scroll down a little bit more and you’ll see the lyrics to the song you’re playing.

Method two: full-screen

The second method allows you to view the lyrics in fullscreen mode for a distraction-free lyric viewing experience.

1) Launch the Music app on your iOS 10 iPhone 7 and play any song from Apple Music.

2) Then click on the Now Playing bar that appears in the app when the music starts.

3) Once you’re in the this interface, click on the “…” button at the bottom right:

4) From the popup menu, click on the Lyrics option.

The lyrics for the song you’re listening to will now be displayed for you in full screen mode so you can go along with the song.

Both these methods to view song lyrics in the Music app on iOS 10 iPhone are useful depending on whether you need help singing along or just want to check the text you don't understand.
