The Way To Bypass Do Not Disturb Mode For Individual Contacts In iOS 10

Reading this post you will learn how to bypass Do Not Disturb mode for individual contacts in iOS 10 in order to get their texts and calls even with the aforementioned mode turned on. Do Not Disturb is the useful feature in iOS, but not all iDevices users knows about all its advantages. Do Not Disturb silences calls and alerts when iPhone is locked. If you are in a meeting or don’t want to be distracted by incoming calls or random notifications, you can enable DND to remain at peace. But, there is one problem-when DND is enabled, you will miss out important calls or alerts.

But starting with iOS 10 this problem has been solved as now users can choose on a per-contact basis whether they are notified of incoming calls or messages even when their iPhone is in Do Not Disturb mode. So follow easy steps below to learn how to bypass Do Not Disturb mode for individual contacts in iOS 10.

How To Bypass Do Not Disturb Mode For Individual Contacts In iOS 10

Step 1: Launch Contacts app on your iOS 10 iPhone, open the contact you want to enable notifications for and choose to Edit it in the top right corner.

Step 2: Depending on whether you want to enable notifications for calls or messages, pick either Ringtone or Text Tone. You can enable both the options depending on your need.

Step 3: Finally, toggle the switch next to Emergency Bypass.

From now onwards, you will receive audio and vibratory alerts from this contact. If you ever want to disable this feature, just follow the steps as mentioned earlier and turn off the switch in the step 3.

Apple should have added this feature much earlier as it is really useful for those who don't won't to disturb someone overnight or during meeting and don't want to miss out important calls.
