How to Disable Automatic App Updates On iOS 10 iPhone

Step 1: Launch Settings on your iOS 10 device and click on iTunes & App Store.

Step 2: Just under Automatic Downloads section, you can manage the items that are downloaded automatically. Move the toggle for Updates to OFF position.

Step 1: Launch Settings on your iOS 10 device and click on iTunes & App Store.

Step 2: Under Automatic Downloads section, toggle on Updates.

Step 3: Lastly, move toggle Use Cellular Data to OFF position.


From now, whenever your iOS 10 iPhone is connected to 4G/LTE, the option to download updates automatically will be disabled. But as soon as you switch to a WiFi network, your device will start to download and install new updates automatically. Keep that in mind.
